I’m thinking of buying a iRooma that’s been used a few times from someone that needs to sell it to pay some bills. Does anyone have one and like it? This is the site she originally bought it off of, and she’s asking $125, so it’s practically a steal!!

Do anyone own a robotic vacum cleaner such as iRobot Roomba Vacum?
If so what are your experiences with it? Does it work good on most surfaces? Does it get “stuck”, like those automatic toy cars and robots?
What are the best brands if anyone recommends one?
I had mine for a year, until the battery died. I loved it for a quick clean up.
This is not to be replaced for your traditional vacuum. It does not get a deep down clean.
The iRobot does only a surface clean sweep and the container needs to be emptied out often.
Replacement parts are expensive. I have not gone to buy the battery yet because of it being expensive. $50.00 +

When I place it back on base to charge, red charging light starts glowing and then turns green an hour or so later, indicating that it has fully charged. But when I start it, it runs for one second then it stops, and its power button turns red again like it was never charged at all. I tried cleaning the charging contact points to no avail. What could be the problem?
I have heard NOTHING good about those money-making machines.. I would never have one because just to look at them one should know that they are NOT a vacumn machine except possibly for the smallest particles of dust.. I considered them(those machines) as just another way that companies are getting money from people

What are the pros & cons? Is it easy to operate? Does is work well? I was considering it as a gift.
Do you like the way it cleans? Will they work well on tiled floors?
